Bangabandhu at the UN

Bangladesh became a member of the UN after another struggle with some influential international communities. Bangabandhu in his first participation of the general assembly delivered his speech in Bangla in the history of the UN and paid tribute to the language martyrs. He mentions Bangladesh's stand with the UN on different national and international issues where the country pledges to follow UN charters. Bangladesh would also follow its foreign policy with the ideology of mutual respect, national sovereignty, regional integrity, cooperation, and non-interference into internal issues of other countries. Bangabandhu thanked the United Nations to accept Bangladesh as a member of the organization and expressed his gratitude to all the countries who came forward to assist his motherland by providing food, shelter, and aids during the liberation war. He expressed his solidarity for the oppressed people and poor countries as he was aware of the human crises all over the world. He mentioned his own country had been damaged by the war and also expressed the painful feeling of other oppressed nations. Finally, he called for unity amongst the countries, and a unified financial management system and to take action to reduce financial gaps in addition to minimizing humanitarian crises. (200 words)
