"The or Tha" "দি নাকি দ্যা"

 

যদি The এর পরের শব্দের প্রথমে vowel sound থাকে তাহলে উচ্চারণ হবে "দি" যেমন: The answer.

আর যদি The এর পরের শব্দের প্রথমে consonant sound থাকে তাহলে উচ্চারণ হবে "দ্যা" যেমন:The question,

the house.

"The' is normally pronounced as 'tha' sound when it is used before a consonant sound or article an is not used. 

For example :- The answer.

However, if 'the' comes before a vowel sound the sound of 'the' remains 'the'.
